Obviously consoles dont support modding, but if the game is produced via PC (which is the easiest to distribute it) Then I personally believe we should allow modding to an extent.
I mean, lets face it. It will be modded eventually anyway, so why not make it an option? In fact, after the game is made, that can be a way to make a few bucks more from it, we can make mods most cant, and sell them cheap.
I think the modding rules should be really self explanatory for the most part.
1. No inventory editors, or anything like that, that can give someone anything in the game. so if you see a really rare accessory, you know they didnt just mod it on themselves.
2. If mods are in place that at all make it easier to farm for something, the game automatically disallows zombies from dropping things, and closes shops in urban cities which would normally be difficult to get to.
...etc, things like that. Basically, if it makes it easier for you to do/get something, the game makes it to where you wont get that something. You want a mod that makes you feel badass, by being able to throw a shurikan, that explodes, and has chain lightning decimate a mob of zombies, thats awesome! but you cant use it to farm. |
